SAFEGUARDING POLICY
Rogue Encounters Ltd will endeavour to safeguard children and adults at risk by:
creating a safe and healthy environment within all our services, to protect all parties and reduce the risk of abuse or allegations of abuse from occurring;
following carefully the procedures laid down for the recruitment and selection of staff and volunteers;
providing effective management for staff and volunteers through supervision, support and training;
reporting concerns to statutory agencies who need to know and involving parents/guardians, adults at risk, and children appropriately;
adopting safeguarding guidelines through a code of conduct for staff and volunteers;
sharing information about child protection, safeguarding adults at risk and good practice with children, adults at risk, parents/guardians, staff and volunteers;
ensuring general safety procedures are adhered to;
reviewing and evaluating this Safeguarding Policy at least every two years.
Principles
This Policy and supporting procedures are based on the following principles:
The welfare of children and adults at risk is the primary concern.
All children and adults at risk irrespective of their age, culture, disability, gender, language, racial origin, socio-economic status, religious belief or sexual orientation have the right to protection from abuse and harm.
It is everyone’s responsibility to report any concerns about abuse in order that prompt action can be taken if required.
All incidents of alleged poor practice, misconduct and abuse will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately.
All personal data will be processed in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR 2018 (General Data Protection Regulation.
