The Journey from Kids in Control (KIC) to rogue encounters
Over 27 years, KIC attracted everyone, who then brought everything to our theatre practice, from adults surviving catastrophic brain injury or dementia, to artists and facilitators seeking to expand their professional development and artistic palette.
The gallery of work is now expansive and more inclusive than the origins of KIC. We needed to include this extraordinary diversity and inclusivity in our name and identity. KIC organically became Rogue Encounters – same rogue relevance and integrity, with a richer palette.
We have an excellent track record and reputation for providing high quality, creative learning programs in which the artistic, educational, and social agendas are inseparable, as well as opportunities for public performance that impact positively on the lives of our participants and audiences.
Our programs are vibrant, innovative, progressive, and thoughtfully delivered by an experienced creative team to enhance participants’ quality of life through developing skills, self-confidence, ambition, motivation, and social networks. All workshop environments are safe and fun.
All our programmes are bespoke, learner led and flexible, responding to the participants involved.
See the Projects page on this website or contact us to find out more about the full range of programmes available. We have projects that are suitable for beginners right up to those looking for opportunities to upskill and develop professionally in the creative sector.
